My Story

I remember my father who never thought of himself as an artist but yet he would produce the most beautiful pieces of artwork. If you commented to him what an artist you thought he was, he would argue that he was not. He felt that by copying something from someone else you could not think of yourself as an artist. But time and time again I have seen such beautiful pictures he would draw. He had such a gift for capturing wildlife. Dad was an artist; he just didn’t believe it.
This is just how I feel about being a writer. Just because I put down a few stories on paper doesn’t make me a writer. Writing was primarily a source of comfort for me during those years with my mom. Then at one point while Mom was alive, I thought it might be a way to help with her finances.
Well, Mom is long passed, and I am comfortably retired. Today I am motivated by the thought that these stories might help others experiencing a similar journey. I hope they will.
